Erwin Lake, CA – Big Bear Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the discharge of a weapon in an Erwin Lake neighborhood about 5:45 a.m. Friday, June 13. Deputies responded to the call in the area of South Hatchery Drive and East State Lane.
Dispatchers indicated that the reporting party notified them that while he was walking his dog he witnessed two subjects discharge a firearm towards a residence near Erwin Lake Park.
THE SUSPECTS
A media advisory from the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station reports the first subject was described as a 20-30 year old Hispanic male adult about 6-foot 2-inches tall and wearing a black t-shirt and jeans.
The advisory indicates the second suspect was a 20-30 year old male adult, possibly Hispanic or Asian, standing about 5-foot 5-inches tall with dark hair. He was wearing a beige or green jacket, dark pants, and a beanie.
THE INVESTIGATION
The investigation is ongoing. However, deputies conducted an area check, including Erwin Lake Park, and were unable to locate the two subjects.
Officers did locate some fired casings at the scene.
