Big Bear City, CA – A 51-year-old Big Bear City parolee — Jack David Mills — was arrested May 29 by the Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) of the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station after approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine was discovered during a routine probation check.
MET officers made the arrest in the 1100 block of North Mound Street in Big Bear City shortly before 1 p.m. Mills was found to be at the location at the time of the search.
During the search, officers reportedly recovered the methamphetamine and packaging materials consistent with sales of narcotics.
THE ARREST
Mills was arrested without incident and booked at the Big Bear Jail on felony charges of violation of parole and possession of a controlled substance for sale.
He was also booked on a felony charge of evading a peace officer during a prior contact with law enforcement officials.
He remains in custody without the ability to post bail, pending an arraignment hearing scheduled for June 2 at 12:30 p.m. on the drug charge and the following day on the evading a peace officer charge. (232)
