Lake Arrowhead, CA – A 41-year-old Lake Arrowhead man — Patrick Sean Mitchell — is in custody facing kidnapping, receipt of stolen property and drug related charges. Mitchell was arrested by Twin Peaks Sheriff’s deputies at 7:54 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, and booked at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino.
THE INCIDENT
On Wednesday, April 23, deputies responded to the 28000 block of West Shore Road in Lake Arrowhead at 5:17 p.m. after receiving a call that an unidentified woman had be held against her will for the past several days by the suspect, later identified as Mitchell.
On Saturday, April 26, at 7:39 p.m., deputies returned to the residence and located Mitchell. While at the location, officers also contacted the alleged victim and she told deputies she feared for her life and safety, according to documents released by the Twin Peaks Station.
During the kidnapping investigation, Mitchell was found to be in possession of a stolen vehicle that was parked at the house.
During a search of the stolen vehicle, deputies found a California identification card with Mitchell’s information along with three other credit cards. Officers also located approximately three (3) grams of suspected methamphetamine.
When deputies ran wants and warrants on Mitchell, they uncovered an active 207 Ramey Warrant. A Ramey Warrant is an arrest warrant signed and issued by a judge directing a law enforcement officer to arrest a specific suspect.
THE ARREST
Mitchell was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, being under the influence of a controlled substance and the warrant.
He was booked at the Central Detention Center as additional charges were being filed including kidnapping. The total bail for Mitchell has been set at $285,000 with the largest amount being $200,000 for threatening a crime.
COURT APPEARANCES
Mitchell’s first court appearance is a video arraignment at 12:32 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29. He is also scheduled for a video arraignment at 12:30 p.m. on the possession of stolen property charge. on Wednesday, April 30.
