Crestline, CA – On Monday, March 12, 2018 deputies from the Twin Peaks Station responded to the 600 bock of Arth Drive following the report of a disturbance between the homeowner and her adult son, Clifton Bedore 38 years old, resident of Crestline. Deputies investigated the incident but were unable to locate Clifton.
Later the deputies were called back to the residence after a family member called and said Clifton was threatening to kill his mother and himself. Deputies were attempting to communicate with Bedore, when he fired from the upstairs bedroom, into the downstairs living room. Believing Bedore was engaging the officers in a gunfight, one deputy returned fire and Bedore immediately surrendered. Bedore was taken into custody without further incident. No one was injured.
Clifton Bedore was booked at West Valley Detention Center with bail set at $50,000.
Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators responded to conduct the investigation.
