ORIGINAL STORY

San Bernardino, CA – Yesterday, San Bernardino Police arrested 38 year old Peter Joe Granados, of San Bernardino, on suspicion of arson. “Upon questioning, he confessed to arson in all eight fires” a news release from San Bernardino Police Department stated.

Authorities said Granados is suspected of setting fires ignited in trash cans and wooded areas of the foothills above Highland and San Bernardino. They did not specify which fires he is accused of setting.

San Bernardino County Fire Chief Marc Hartwig said the investigation has been on going, with the arson units from SB County Fire, U.S. Forest Service and San Bernardino Police. He said key information came from the public and wanted to thank everyone that assisted in the investigation.

This arrest comes just weeks after the arrest of Jarrod Anthony Samra, 23 years old of Yucaipa, in connection with the fires in the area.

Will update as information becomes available.
