Twin Peaks, CA – The Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station has announced the arrest of 35-year-old Andrew Charles Crawford in connection with a 2010 allegation of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14.

In February of 2010, deputies conducted an investigation into an allegation of PC 288(A), Lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, by Crawford in Lake Arrowhead.
Crawford was known to the victim, according to a media release issued by the Twin Peaks Station.
The investigation was submitted to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office for review. In October of 2012, the District Attorney’s Office filed two counts of PC 288(A) against Crawford and an arrest warrant was issued, however, his whereabouts were unknown and he was believed to have fled the state.
Judge A. Rex Victor issued the warrant on November 7, 2012.
THE ARREST
On October 29 at 8 p.m., Crawford was placed under arrest in Georgetown, Kentucky at a commercial vehicle inspection check-point.
Crawford was extradited to San Bernardino County and booked into the West Valley Detention Center. Crawford is being held in-custody in lieu of $500,000.00 bail.
COURT APPEARANCE
On October 30, Crawford entered a not guilty plea to all counts during a video arraignment before Judge Alexander R. Martinez.
Crawford’s next court appearance will be on Monday, November 9, at 8:30 a.m. The pre-preliminary hearing will be held in Department S-11-P.
