Twin Peaks, CA - The Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Bacilio “Chilio” Lopez Hernandez. Hernandez is wanted for defrauding local homeowners (embezzlement).
Hernandez, often with the help of his juvenile daughter, is soliciting handyman work around the mountain. After receiving funds, he either never returns at all or completes half of the job and then doesn’t come back.
KNOWN VICTIMS
On August 4, 2015, three victims came forward and gave their individual statements to deputies. The department is concerned there may be more victims.
Also on August 4, 2015, Hernandez failed to appear in court for a pre-preliminary hearing on similar charges pending from late 2014. Judge Steve C. Malone declared Hernandez a fugitive and the $50,000 bail bond was forfeited.
